The members of the Rapid Action Battalion arrested a young man named Salim Hossain,25, on charge of raping a minor girl in Pabna.

The arrested Selim Hossain,25, son of Rafiq Hossain a residence of Telegram-Dhalipara village under Ataikula police satation in Pabna sadar.

RAB-12, CPC-2, Pabna company commander major Ehteshamul Haque Khan said this in a press release on Tuesday morning. Earlier on Monday he was arrested from Nikunj area of Khilkhet police station inDhaka.

According to the press release, from November 10, 2023 to February 13, 2024, the accused Salim Hossain raped the minor daughter of Alamgir Hossain several times against her will by taking her to different places including Tushar Rest House behind Rana Eco Park in Pabna.

Alamgir Hossain of the girl came to know the matter and filed a rape case with Ataikula police station on Saturday.Since then, he was in hiding in Dhaka.

Following the incident, a team of RAB-12, CPC-2, Pabna arrested him from Nikunj area based on secret information.Later handed over to Pabna police station on Tuesday.
