World Consumer Rights Day-2021 has been celebrated in Thakurgaon under the theme “I swear in Mujib Year, I will prevent plastic pollution”. Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the day by flying balloons. KM Kamruzzaman Selim.

On the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day on Monday (March 15), the Department of Consumer Protection and the Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Thakurgaon District Branch organized a truck show and a discussion meeting organized by the district administration.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Nur Qutbul Alam was present in the meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner. KM Kamruzzaman Selim, Municipal Mayor Anjuman Ara Begum Bonya and various officials of district administration and police administration.

Discussions on protection and development of consumer rights, prevention of acts against consumer rights, settlement of complaints of consumer rights violations, ensuring safe products or services, prevention of fraud in purchase of goods and services, compensation to consumers affected by the use of goods or services, raising public awareness about consumer rights and responsibilities.
