To raise public awareness a workshop was held participating high officials of different departments, freedom fighters, journalists both print & electronics media and businessmen in the meeting room of Circuit House on Wednesday with the support of district administration.
Speakers at the workshop said that strong food is essential for building a strong nation. Believing in this, safe and healthy food should be served. Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) should work to inform the public and increase public awareness at all levels regarding activities related to safe food production, import, processing, storage, supply, marketing and sale. To build Smart Bangladesh and Smart Bogura, we need to provide safe food to the consumers. Just as proper and nutritious food will keep the consumer’s body strong; it will also play a role in building a smart Bangladesh.
The workshop sponsored by Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) was presided over by Deputy Director of Local Government Division Md Masum Ali Beg while Deputy Commissioner Md Saiful Islam speaking as chief guest.
The programme was arranged by district Food Safety Officer Md Rasel. Additional Superintendent of Police Snigdh Akhtar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Shafiul Azam, spoke as a special guest.
Freedom fighter Ruhul Amin Bablu, Additional District Magistrate Afsana Yasmin, Deputy Director of Department Agricultural Extension Matlubar Rahman, Assistant Director of Consumer Rights Protection Department Iftekharul Islam Rizvi, Senior Information Officer Mahfuzar Rahman, Deputy Director of Social Service Office Abu Saeed Md Kawchar, RMO of Mohammad Ali Hospital Dr. Shafiq Amin Kajal various levels of officials and journalists were present.
