A worker died when a septic tank collapsed while working in Thakurgaon. Two more workers were injured in the incident.

At around 1am on Saturday, three workers were working on the septic tank of a house under construction at Nakul Chandra’s house in Shantibagh area under Pirganj police station in Thakurgaon when the ground collapsed under the safety tank.

The deceased have been identified as Srikant, 40, a resident of Tarla village in the upazila and the injured have been identified as Lakshan Chandra, 30, son of Satis Chandra of Malga village and Anil Chandra, 28, son of Mohen Chandra.

Pirganj police investigation officer Khairul Islam confirmed the incident.
