Public interest works are being carried out under the Water Supply and Sanitation Project under the Department of Public Health Engineering in Bogura.

As a result, there will be no problem in providing pure water in these areas to run the smooth life of thousands of the municipality.

It is learned that the project is underway in Shibganj, Kahalu and Sherpur municipalities simultaneously. Authorities say there will be a water treatment system to solve the water problem in the mentioned municipality.

In each municipality, water will be supplied through 3 deep tube wells for about 15 km through pipes.

Md Abul Kalam Azad, Executive Engineer, Department of Public Health Engineering, said, “We are working on public interest tax under the government-funded water supply and sanitation project in the municipal area.”  “Hopefully in future all the municipalities will come under water supply and sanitation project.” He added.
