Abu Hena Mostafa Zaman, Rajshahi: Boalia Model Police have arrested two fake DB policemen in Rajshahi metropolis.
The arrested are: Md. Sohan (22), son of Md. Mahabub of Charghat Police Station and Md. Selim Islam Mirza (22), son of Shariful Islam Mirza of Sipaipara area of ​​Rajpara Police Station, Rajshahi.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Md Rafiqul Alam, spokesperson of the city police, confirmed the information at 4 pm on Monday.

He said that on Sunday (May 29), Md. Khokon Ali’s wife and sister were going to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in a rickshaw at 10:30 am. On the way, the accused stopped the rickshaw of Khokon’s wife and sister in Raninagar area of ​​Boalia Model Police Station.

They want to search the bodies of Khokon’s wife and sister by identifying themselves as DB police. The accused threatened to take Khokon’s wife and sister to the police station if they did not want to be searched.

Seeing the incident, the local people of the area came forward. The accused tried to flee when they saw people coming. Locals arrested the accused and called 999 to report the incident.

According to the information of 999, the duty officer of Boalia Model Police Station SI MATM Zulfiqar Haider and the accompanying force went to the spot and arrested two fake DB policemen Md. Sohan and Md. Selim.

Legal action has been taken against those arrested.
They were handed over to the court on Monday morning, the city police spokesman said.
