Two-and-a-half-year-old child has been raped by An old man named Abdul Aziz (60) and has been arrested by the police under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
He has been arrested from Sherua Battala Bazaar area by the police in the early hours of Monday (September-19) in this incident.
He is the son of Mofiz Uddin of Sherua Dahapara village of Shahbandegi Union of the upazila. Later, the mother of the raped child filed a case against the person who was arrested under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act at Sherpur police station in this connection.
According to the case, the child’s parents are day workers by profession.They went to work in the chattal owned by Abu Saeed of Sherua Dahapara area around 10 o’clock on September 17.Following this, Chatale was drying paddy at half past two that day. And the child was playing in the field next to it. At one point the old man Abdul Aziz lured the child into his house by buying her food. The child was even stripped and raped in her bedroom. At that time, the people around the child came to rescue her and arranged to provide first aid. In the meantime, the rapist, Abdul Aziz, managed to escape.
When asked, sub Inspector (SI) of Sherpur police station Rabiul Islam admitted the truth of the incident. “Case has been registered in police station on Monday. Along with that, the police arrested the accused Abdul Aziz in a raid.”The accused sent to Bogura court on Monday around 12 noon. The victim was rescued and sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZRMC) Hospital for medical test.
