day long training on child journalism has begun at the hall room of Technical Training Center (TTC) located at Farazipara, a suburb of the district town this morning.
Micro-project implementation Committee formed by World Vision Bangladesh, a global Christian charity organization has arranged the training.
Joseph Mardy, senior program officer of World Vision Bangladesh here formally inaugurated the training as the chief focal person while Albert Sarker, program officer of the organization here presided over the ceremony.
Trishita Sharma, sponsorship system officer also spoke at the inaugural session of the training. Joseph Mardy in his speeches said lack of creative work,the youth is addicted to drugs.
If this situation continues, the nation will plunge into darknesswhich is not desirable to anybody, he also said.
Taking the matter into cognizance, World Vision Bangladesh, Gaibandha Area Program office adopted a plan to bring the adult children of program command areas under the training on child journalism to build a knowledge rich society, he added.
Accordingly, the training has started this morning, he further added. He also suggested the trainees to be serious more and to receive the training properly to make the training program effective and grand success as well.
Experienced journalists Sarker Mohammad Shahiduzzaman and Tajul Islam Reza of the district are conducting the training sessions as course facilitators.
As many as 30 adult children who are the members of youth Forum and child forum are participating in the training.
