On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Tamima Nasrin has received the prestigious’ ‘Inspiring Women Award’ as a winner in “Breaking the glass ceiling category in WIL FEST 2022.

She has received this Award in recognition of her contribution to the protection of women and Girls from gender-based violence through different development activities notably building community awareness, supporting Women, Children, elderly and disabled service desk at police stations in Bogura District, Provided capacity building training to the District Police Bogura , Member of Local government and Youth volunteers.

The award ceremony was jointly organized by Women in Leadership (WIL) and Bangladesh Brand Forum.Women in Leadership – WIL has honored the most inspiring female professionals of the country at the 7th edition of Inspiring Women Award. The grand award ceremony took place at the Grand Ballroom, Le Meridien Dhaka on March 31, 2022. A total of 17 winners and 10 honorable mentions were awarded this year on the esteemed accolade’s 7th iteration.

This year’s theme of the Women’s Festival was “WIL Women Change the Game”, Women of Bangladesh have been at the forefront of everything be it freedom fight to economic fight to diplomacy fight they have always brought back glories not only for Bangladesh but also for the entire world. This edition of WIL talked about them, it narrated their journey and most importantly recognized them with their deserving respect.

Tamima Nasrin has long worked with the United Nations Population Fund(UNFPA Bangladesh) He is currently working as a Chief Executive Officer at SheEqual a Youth Lead Platform.

She said that any award in recognition of good work honors people and enhances the eligibility for their Work. Undoubtedly, this award will inspire me to work harder in the future.
