A Tales telling of historic freedom fighting from the mouths of the brave sons of the soil and a quiz competition were arranged in the auditorium of Kahaloo Adarsha Women’s Degree College in Kahaloo Upazila of Bogura on Monday noon.
District Information Office of Bogura arranged the tales telling programme by the freedom fighters along with a quiz competition and the whole programme was presided over by Senior Information Officer of Bogura Muhammad Mahfuzar Rahman.
Upazila Chairman of Kahaloo upazila Al Hasibul Hasan Kobiraj Shuruj was present as the chief guest, special guest was the Principal of Kahaloo Adarsha Women’s Degree College AKM Rezaul Akhlak.
Invited Guests were brave guerrilla freedom fighter Mosharaf Hossain and brave freedom fighter Mozammel Haque who shared their great experiences during the historic freedom fighting while the students heard the tales of freedom fighting with pin-dropped silence.
Freedom fighter Mozammel Haque mentioned that in 1971 after getting training, they had to suffer a lot for long 9 months in freedom fighting through the dynamic leadership of Bangabandhu they achieved freedom through huge wars and pains.
Guerrilla Freedom Fighter Mosharaf Hossian said that very early age of his life, after hearing the unparallel speech of great leader Bangabandhu, they encouraged to jump over freedom fighting and went to India on foot when they knew that India had extended all out supports to the freedom war and achieved guerrilla training and returned to homeland and fought against the Pakistan Army snatching victory over the occupational force of Pakistan.
Chief Guest Al Hasibul Hasan Shuruj said that the history of freedom fighting of Bangladesh is very glorious and the next generation should be heard the great sacrifice of the freedom fighters.
After over 50 years, Bangladesh has achieved many successes, done mega- projects like Padma Bridge and Dhaka Metro Rail and the people have to know the successful stories of the present government. Department of Information of Bangladesh has been playing vital roles to let the people know the development stories of the government led by Sheikh Hasina.
Other guests were vice-principal of the same college Millat Hossain, Assistant Information Officer Tania Tajnin Memi and Zulfiqur Md. Abdur Rouf and Firojul Haque Dablu and others.
Later a quiz competition was held among the students of the college and the students of the college responded on the questions of freedom fighting and the life sketch of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
