The Social Service Day was whole-heartedly observed in Bogura though numerous activities by the Department of Social Service in the district on Monday noon.

The day was observed through huge fervour uttering the slogan “Unnoyan abong Shomriddhir Ograjattrae, Desh Gorbo Shomajshebae”. The programme was presided over by the Deputy Director (DD) of the Department of Social Service, Bogura, Abu Sayeed Kawsar Rahman.

The day began with the release of the balloon in the open sky by the Chief Guest and Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura Md. Saiful Islam following the discussion on the importance of the very day, distributing small loan and attending cultural programme.

Specials guests were Additional Police Super (Head Quarter), Bogura Helena Begum, Chairman of District Parishad, Bogura Dr. Mokbul Hossian, former Commander of District Muktijoddhaya Parishad Ruhul Amin Bablu and others.

The Deputy Commissioner Md. Saiful Islam said that the government wants to make Bangladesh as “Smart Bangladesh” through social bonding the common people of the country and wants to finance the poor, downtrodden and disadvantaged people of the country as well.

The government will not keep the people homeless and widow-grant and freedom fighting-grant will be provided to support the poor people and different goods have been provided on precise price through Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) and all should be aware about the deprivation of the common people by the public representatives, added the DC.
