One old man was killed under the wheels of a motor bike at Roumariupazila in Kurigram.

The deceased was identified as Amir Hossain 70 son ofDelwar Hossain of village DhonarcharMaddapara under Jadurchar union of the upazila.

The accident took place at Dhonar char on DC road at noon on Sunday (January 15).

Eyewitnesses said Amir Hossain was going to Kortimari bazar walking on the DC road, suddenly a speedy motor bike driven by Harun Ur Rashid knocked the pedestrian from the opposite direction. The pedestrian was critically injured and became senseless on the spot.

Locals however recovered theinjured person and was brought to Roumariupazila Health Complex where the attending doctor declared him dead. The rider of the motor bike and killer Harun-ur Rashid is the son of Abdul Awal of village Bokbandha under the same union.

Officer-in-charge of Roumari police station Rup Kumar Sarkar admitted the incident and told a preparation is going on to file a case.
