Rangpur district Police pays homage to the language martyrs

The children of the sun, the whole nation is gratefully remembering them, died in front of the bullets of the Pakistani rulers in protest of the deprivation of the right to the mother tongue.
In the first morning of Ekushey, the Shaheed Minar was filled with floral homage to those martyrs whose sacrifices earned them the right to language. Rajpath was stained with the blood of Bengalis on this day in 1952 at the demand of the state language Bengal, “Ekush means not bowing one’s head”, following which independence was achieved.
This day of self-sacrifice of Bengalis is now being celebrated all over the world as the International Mother Language Day. The 21st day of the Bengali language struggle is now the day to protect the rights of all language speakers in the world.
On the first morning of Ekushey, Rangpur District Superintendent of Police Biplob Kumar Sarkar paid homage to the language martyrs with flowers at the Shaheed Minar in Rangpur Shaheed Minar.
Rangpur Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Crime) Madhusudan Roy, Additional Superintendent of Police (A-Circle) Abu Tayyab Md. Arif Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police (B-Circle) Sifat-e-Rang were also present to pay their respects to the martyrs.
