A newly constructed two storied modern Dakbanglow at Rajarhat upazila under Kurigram Zila Parishad was formally inaugurated at Dakbanglow premises at 11am on Thursday (March 03).

Chairman of Kurigram Zila Parishad and also president of district unit of AL and former MP Md. Jafar Ali was present as the chief guest while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Md. Faridul Islam was presided over the meeting. Mayor of Kurigram municipality Kaziul Islam,Zila Parishad member Mahbuba Begum,Lovely Begum,Sheuly Begum,Daizy Begum,Mominul Haque Khandoker,Ekramul Haque Bulbul,chairman pf Chakirpasha UP Abdus Salam,chairman of Chenai UP Sadekul Islam Nuru,principal of Rajarhat Govt College Shafikul Islam Rana,Rajarhat Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO) Noor-A-Tasnim, Assistant Engineer of Zila Parishad Mizanur Rahman,secretary of district sports organization and vice president of district unit of AL Abu Mohammad Sayed Hasan Loban, Officer-in-charge of Rajarhat thana Raju Ahmed spoke among others.

Local political leaders, elites, zila parishad staff and reporters of both print and electronic media were also present.

The speakers emphasized the importance of a new modern Dakbanglow here. The high officials who come to Rajarhat from various parts of the country including Dhaka city face problem due to lack of better rest house to stay here at night. They were compelled to go to Kurigram district town to stay at night which will be mitigated from today.

There are four well decorated modern rooms; mini conference room, saluting dais, car parking, dinning, kitchen etc are included in the Dakbanglow.

Assistant Engineer of Zila Parishad Mizanur Rahman said the Dukbanglow was constructed at estimated cost of taka two crore and contract price at taka one crore seventy five only in the fiscal 2019-2020 funded by Annual Development Program.
