Vice-Chancellor Hafiza Khatun of Pabna Science and Technology University (PUST) has resigned. With this, the posts of Vice-Chancellor, pro vice-Chancellor, treasurer, proctor and student advisor of the University became vacant.

On Wednesday afternoon, VC sent her resignation letter to the university’s ex-officio Acharya president Mohammad Sahabuddin.

Confirming the matter, university registrar Bijan Kumar Brahm said that the Vice-Chancellor has resigned citing personal reasons. According to the rules, he has sent the resignation letter to the university’s ex-officio acharya president.

Earlier, on Monday noon, the newly appointed proctor of the university just 5 days after taking charge Md. Masud Rana and student adviser Md. Imran Hossain resigned citing personal reasons. Since then, the university has been vacant. The administrative activities of the university have come to a standstill.

After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, on August 10, the pro vice-chancellor of the university, Prof Dr. SM Mustafa Kamal Khan, Treasurer Dr. KM Salahuddin resigned.

On August 14, Proctor Md. Kamal Hossain and student advisor Nazmul Hossain were removed and associate professor of business administration department Md. Masud Rana to proctor and

on August 13, associate Prof of Information and Communication Engineering Department Md. Imran Huasain was appointed as student advisor.
