Prizes have been distributed among the winners of the final match at the Nupur Ghosh memorial Carrom competition under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district. The function was held on Saturday (May 22) at around 8 pm at the organization’s office in Sakal Bazar in Sherpur town.
Mayor of Sherpur Municipality Alhaj Jane Alam Khoka spoke as the chief guest in the presidency of Nimai Ghosh, Journalist of The Daily Karatoa and councilor of Ward No. 3 of the Municipality. Municipal Councilor Soumendra Nath Tagore Shyam and reserved women councilor Karuna Rani spoke as special guests.
Besides, among others, social worker Dr. Arunanshu Mandal, teacher Saiful Islam Nipu, BNP leader Ashok Kumar Kundu, Hindu religious leader Bhola Tambuli and others spoke in the function .
Four teams in junior group and eight teams in senior group participated in this carom competition organized by Nupur Ghosh Memorial parliament. The chief guest of the event, Mayor Jane Alam Khoka and other invited guests handed over the prizes to the winners and runners-up of the tournament.
