Press conference held for construction on disputed land ignoring Court order at  Sherpur press club in the afternoon on Tuesday (April 12) under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
Allegation was made in the press conference of the press club office . Opponents have been accused of forcibly constructing tin houses to occupy the disputed land.
In a written statement, Sujit Kumar Roy, son of Ranjit Kumar of Bhimjani village of Khanpur union of the upazila, said, “I got 79.50 decimal of the land in Bhimjani mouza from ancestral sources. My grandfather had already bought that amount of land. MRR record with name in his name is ready.
According to him, as the only heir, I have been occupying the land. But recently Porikhhito Chandra Roy and Paritosh Chandra Roy claimed ownership of the land.
At one point, both sides approached the court about the matter. In the context of the case filed on October 8, 2021, the court issued a status quo in the disputed land in order to maintain peace and order.
But ignoring the court order, on April 5 this year, Chandra Roy and Paritosh Chandra Roy, who were tried by the opposition, built a house with a tin fence to occupy the place that compares to contempt of court.
In the press conference office, the victim Sujit Kumar Roy prayed for justice by necessary steps against those involved in such activities.
