Police have recovered the body of a housewife from her husband’s house under Sherpur upazila in Bogura on Wednesday.
The decease is identified as Mim Akter (19) wife of Shakil Ahmed at Ranbirbala village in Garidaha union of the upazila.
The body of the deceased was sent to the morgue of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in for autopsy and Shakil Ahmed, 25, husband of the deceased was arrested in the incident.
It is learned that nine months ago, Mim Akter, daughter of Majnu Akand of neighboring Kafura Purbapara village, got married with Shakil Ahmed at Rabiul Islam in Ranbirbala village of the upazila.
But since the marriage, there was no bond between them. Meanwhile, on Tuesday (April 26) evening, a quarrel broke out between the husband and wife over not buying new sari clothes for the upcoming Eid of Ramadan. The body of the housewife was found in the bedroom the next morning.
Sub-inspector of Sherpur police station (SI) Mostafiz said the housewife’s death was mysterious. She also has black marks on her neck. So the body of the deceased was recovered and sent to Hospital Morgue
