With very colourful and eye-catching arrangements, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun bpm (bar), ppm has inaugurated the multi-storied Police Plaza under Bangladesh Police Welfare Trust of Nababari road near Shatmatha in Bogura on Saturday noon.
The IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun who was present as the chief guest in the police plaza inauguration programme said that by combating with militancy and terrorism in Bangladesh, police have earned the prestige of making investment-friendly atmosphere in our country.
Chief Boss of the cop said that police with taking the risk of lives have been developing the law-and-order situation in Bangladesh and sometimes they are to face injure and even succumb to injure and the profit money from police plaza will be used for the welfare of injured and family members of the dead police personnel.
Police have shown zero tolerance against militancy and terrorism from the very outset of the reign of the present government led by Sheikh Hasina and police are ready to sacrifice anything to keep the economic-base stable at the cost of lives of police personnel and on the light of the zero tolerance, an investment-friendly environment has been created in the country, added the IGP.
While asking IGP on the upcoming national election, he said that election will be held under Election Commission and police will do their utmost services under the commission and any kind of law-breaking activity will be prevented by the police force.
IGP also sought the business community and other classes of people for the smooth activities of the police plaza so that they can conduct the humanitarian activities for the distressed police personnel.
During the inauguration of 218-shop containing police plaza, Member of Parliament of Bogura-05 constituency Habibur Rahman, Chairman of district parishad Dr. Mokbul Hossain, Addl. IGP (Finance) of police headquarter Abu Hasan Muhammod Tarik bpm, Deputy Commissioner of Bogura Md. Saiful Islam, General Secretary of district unit Awami League Mojibur Rahman Mojnu, President of Chambers of Commerce of Bogura Masudur Rahman Milon CIP, DIG (Finance) of police headquarter SM Mostak Ahmed Khan bpm, ppm (bar), DIG of police headquarter Syed Riaz Alam.
Contrary, DIG of Rajshahi Range police Anisur Rahman and DIG of Rangpur range police Abdul Batena, police supers of the districts under two divisions, personalities of social, cultural and business organisations and media personalities and other high officials of the district and invited guests of the district were also present in the inauguration programme.
