Farmer Shahidul Islam Lalu died of a heart attack after seeing his land damaged by hail and storm in Pirganj, Rangpur. The incident took place at Bhagwanpur village in Baradargah union of Pirganj upazila on Friday (April 23).

Pirganj upazila administration has stood by the family of the deceased farmer. Yesterday  (April 24) at night the Pirganj Upazila Administration has provided financial assistance to the family. Pirganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Biroda Rani Roy met the family and provided financial assistance. At this time, she took the overall investigation of the family.

At that time she paid taka 13,000 in cash to the family of the deceased farmer. She also provided aus rice seeds to the family for cultivation.
