Pabna University of Science and Technology in fourteen years

Pabna University of Science and Technology entered its 14th year today. On the occasion of the day on Saturday, the University Vice-Chancellor Prof. M Rostam Ali, Treasurer Professor Md. Anwar Khasru Parvez and Registrar (Current Duty) Bijan Kumar Brahma along with teachers, officials and employees inaugurated the University Day programme by hoisting the national flag and performing the national anthem.

Afterwards, Vice-Chancellor paid homage to Bangabandhu’s mural ‘Janak Jyotirmoy’ with flowers on behalf of the university administration. After paying homage to the mural of Bangabandhu, flowers were laid at the central Shaheed Minar and Swadhinata Chattar. After paying homage to the mural of Bangabandhu, tree saplings were planted in the mural premises.

After paying homage at the Independence Square, Vice-Chancellor Prof. M Rostam Ali said that `the university started its journey in 2008 and today (June 5) it has entered its 14th year. He said that the great sacrifice of development is going on in the university now. When this development is completed, the door of education will increase in a big way. This university will be an ideal educational institution for students from all over the country. The nation will get new discoveries and directions in the research of the teachers and students here. He sought the cooperation of all to build the university.’

Treasurer Professor. Md. Anwar Khasru Parvez said that the graduates of this university are serving the country. Skilled manpower is being created. This university will become a pilgrimage of knowledge in the future.

Meanwhile, trees were planted in different parts of the campus on the occasion of World Environment Day. At this time the Vice Chancellor requested everyone to plant trees.

Teachers, staff and officials were present at the University Day program. Prayers are arranged at the end of the ceremony.
