The head of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in Bangladesh has paid a sudden visit at Bogura Press Club in Bogura on Tuesday afternoon. Dr. Susan Vize, also the UNESCO representative in Bangladesh, has exchanged her views with the journalists of the press club of Bogura about the upcoming 13th national election and referendum which will be held on February 12 instant. She along with consultant of UNESCO Rakibul Islam spent at least one and half hours with the journos of Bogura Press Club which was presided over by the President of Bogura Press Club Rezaul Hasan Ranu and the whole programme was conducted by the General Secretary of the club Kalam Azad. She tries to know the thoughts and plans of the journos how they will cover the election with safely avoiding misinformation and disinformation by ensuring the authenticity of the news on the election. The journos demanded her to place their submission to the authority of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) so that the PIB will arrange more and more training programme for the root-level journalists for their professionalism and career development. In the view exchange meeting with UNESCO Boss, Abdur Rahim Bogra, Mirza Selim Reza, Rahat Ritu, Mamun-ur-Rashid, Sumon Sardar, Safiqul Islam and others exchanged views.
