Budget for the fiscal year (2022-23) has been announced of Sherpur Municipality.

The announcement of budget function  has been held at Zilla Parishad Auditorium at Hajipur Mahalla of Sherpur town on Saturday (July 23) around 12 pm under Sherpur  upazila of Bogura district.

In the budget function,Sherpur Municipality Mayor Alhaj Jane Alam Khoka presided over while Alhaj Habibar Rahman,Member of national Parliament (Sherpur-Dhunat) of Bogura-5 constituency, spoke as the chief guest.

Former general secretary of Sherpur Upazila Awami League Ahsan Habib Ambia, member of BNP Central Committee KM Mahbubar Rahman Harez, editor of Weekly Ajker Sherpur newspaper Alhaj Munsi Saiful Bari Dablu, Special PP Add of Anti Corruption Commission spoke as special guests. Abul Kalam Azad, Inspector of Police (Investigation) of Sherpur Police Station, Sanatan Chandra Sarkar.

Sherpur Press Club President and Councilor Nimai Ghosh, Councilor Badrul Islam Poddar Bobby, Assistant Professor Ashraful Alam, Municipal Secretary Imroz Mujib, Administrative Officer Mamunur Rashid and others spoke.

In the budget ceremony, a proposed budget of Tk 59 crore 37 lakh 40 thousand was presented for the next financial year.

Besides,people from all walks of life & different professions including journalists and teachers were also present in the event among others.
