Marginal cattle farmers become self-reliant in Bogura

More than hundred small, medium and large cattle farms have been become self-reliant with the overall support of Livestock Office in Bogura.

With the technical assistance of the Livestock Office, poor and marginal farmers have been seen to set the wheels of the economy in motion with very little time and capital. As a result, their sons and daughters are getting an opportunity to study at different school and colleges.

Livestock Department and Veterinary Hospital, has set a unique example in providing services to the people, said farmer Saiful Islam under sadar upazila.  Meanwhile, the department has won the hearts of service aspirants including farmers with his service style, method and natural behavior, he added.

The service of farmers has been increased by setting help desk, seating arrangement and training room. After the launch of help desk, the visiting public is getting the desired service easily and quickly.

The department provides medical services ranging from animal treatment to consultation through mobile phone using modern technology along with comfortable accommodation for the farmers.

At present, 6,000 small and big farmers have been registered through bdnet.com. As a result, it is possible to easily provide all services including animal treatment and advice.

Rakibul Islam, the owner of a cow farm in Bandighi village of Erulia Union in Sadar, said that today I am a successful farmer. However, behind this success, the contribution of livestock officer is the most.

Ranju Mia, a goat farmer of Sultanganjpara area said, “I have 27 goats of foreign advanced breed in my farm. “ “Dr. Md Abdus Samad makes regular inquiries and provides medical care and advice.”

Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md Abdus Samad said that they are working by following the instructions of the government. They are always ready to revolutionize the farm industry.

District Livestock Officer Dr. Md Mosharf Hossain said the success of cattle farmers will turn the wheels of the economy of the area and the country into motion. We are working together towards that goal, he added.
