Kidnapped schoolgirl rescued of Sherpur in Tangail

Sherpur Thana Police have rescued a kidnapped schoolgirl in Tangail district.  A young man named Marjiul Haque Miraj (21) has been arrested kidnapping that  girl student on Wednesday (May 17), the victim was rescued from the Deohata market area of ​​Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district and the abductor has been arrested.
The abduction incident took place on May 3, 15 days ago, from a local road on the way to school after the love proposal was rejected.  He is the son of Ashekur Rahman of Shafaljani village in Khanpur union of Miraj upazila who was arrested in the police drive.
According to the the case, Abu Zafar Mia, a school student of Khanpur Shafaljani village of the upazila, offered love to the girl (14) for several days. But Miraj got angry because of not getting response. At one point he kidnapped the girl on her way to school.
Later the girl’s father filed a case in the police station. Then the location of the abducted schoolgirl was confirmed through the use of information technology.Besides, operations were conducted to rescue the girl from Tuesday to Wednesday afternoon in various places of Tangail district. Later, the police managed to arrest the abductor along with rescuing the abductee from Deohata market.
The investigating officer of the case, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sherpur Police Station  Saif Ahmed admitted the truth of the incident and said,  “A case has been taken in this incident.  Besides, the process of rescuing the victim and sending it to the court in Bogura for recording the statement has been started.”
“She will then be taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZRMC&C) Hospital for physical examination & arrested the person who has been sent to jail through the court.” He addend.
