Kali Idol has been vandalized in Vishwa Shasman Kali temple on Sunday (September 11) around noon of Bhabanipur union under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
Vishwa Shashman Kali Mandir Committee President Chandicharan said, “Miscreants attacked and vandalized the Vishwa Shashman Kali Mandir”
“Even 6/7 years ago such vandalism happened once.” he added.
Sangram Kundu of general secretary of Bangladesh puja celebration Parishad of Sherpur Upazila said, “We come to know from local Sanatan religious people about the vandalism around noon”
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sherpur police station Ataur Rahman Khondkar said” The incident is being investigated.”
“Legal action will be taken in this regard.” he added.
Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Moinul Islam said, “I visited the scene after receiving the news.”
