A new executive committee of the Development Studies Club (DSC) of the Islamic University has been unveiled on Saturday, with Burhan Uddin and Sami Al Saad Aun nominated as president and general secretary.

Assistant Professor Atifa Kafi, the chairman of the Department of Development Studies , and Assistant Professor HM Nahid and Firoz Hossain have been approved by the committee, based on the 39th academic committee meeting on the basis of miscellaneous decisions no. 2 of the agenda of the meeting.

Burhan Uddin, academic session 2017-2018, and Sami Al Saad Aun, academic session 2018-2019, were nominated as president and general secretary, respectively. Both are the students of Department of Development Studies .

The other office bearers are Vice President Sirajuzzaman, Joint Secretary Sabbir Hossain, Treasurer Kamruzzaman, Office Secretary Usama Bin Hasan, and Organizing Secretary Bablu Marma.

Additionally, responsibilities have been assigned within various wing committees. Education & Research Dip Saha, Pranto Nandi, Israt Jahan Eva, Sajadur, and Shammi Sultana. Professional Development Tahmid Hasan, Sakibul Hasan, Nowrin Sultana, Moumita Tasfia, and Jesia Zaman. Women’s Welfare Afifa Humaira, Mohana Binte Harun, Marufa Mostofa, Progga Sarbojaya, and Rubaiya Sarker. Sports Rafiqul Islam, Bayejid Bostami, Maruf Billah, Meherab Hossain, and Asif Mahmud. Cultural Abu Huraira, Abir Adnan, Ayesha Khatun, Mahmudul Hasan, and Mushfiqur Rahman. Event Management Miraj Hasan, Burhan Uddin, Mahadi Hasan, Mujahidul Islam, and Rezwanul Islam.
