A week-long mosquito eradication program has been inaugurated in Akkelpur municipal area of ​​Joypurhat.
Upazila Executive Officer SM Habibul Hasan inaugurated the mosquito eradication program organized by Akkelpur Municipality at the Upazila Parishad premises at 5 pm today.

Present at the occasion were Upazila Awami League President Principal Mokshed Ali, Municipal Mayor Md Shahidul Alam Chowdhury, Upazila Awami League Vice-President and Councilor Muktijoddha Sadekur Rahman, municipal officials and employees.

Mayor Md. Shahidul Alam Chowdhury said that spraying of mosquito repellent has been started in Akkelpur municipality. Mosquito eradication activities will be conducted in 9 wards of the municipality in phases. In order to ensure that my citizens do not have to suffer from mosquito bites, I have taken the responsibility of the mayor and given utmost importance to mosquito eradication.
