Himel used to send money to his mother through tuition

The life of Mahmud Habib Himel, Rajshahi University student (RU) was struggle, killed in a truck crash. After his father’s death, Himel lived with his mother at his grandfather’s house in Natore. At that time no one in his grandfather’s house cooperated with Himel. The cost of his education was run by his grandparents.

Himel also received support from grandparents’ house while studying at (RU) university. However, he used to spend money for his mother himself by doing tuition. Himel used to have a hard time with these issues. Himel’s classmates, Nanabari and Dadabari area sources have given this informations. Meritorious Himel’s death cannot be accepted by the family as well as the people of the area including relatives and classmates.

Himel’s grandfather’s house is at Ulipurpara under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district. Father Ahsan Habib Helal used to work in Municipality.Himel’s education began at the local Rural Development Academy Laboratory School and College.He studied from nursery to class eighth. After the death of his father four years ago, his mother Monira Akter went to his grandfather’s house in Natore.

After he was admitted to Natore District School.He passed SSC and HSC from Natore Sirajuddaula College and got admitted in Rajshahi University. Mother used to dream a lot about her only son Himel.

The body of Himel, a student of RU’s Fine Arts Department, reached Kapuriapatti grandfather(Nananbari) area of Natore town at noon yesterday. The body was accompanied by the faculty and students including the Vice-Chancellor of RU. The body was taken to the premises of the local Navavidhan Girls’ School. Natore Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Saha, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nadidam Sarayar, Municipal Mayor Uma Chowdhury and many others were present at the time.

Himel’s mother repeatedly fainted.Himel’s great uncle Khandaker Arifuzzaman Babu said that in 2016, Himel’s father was killed in an accident while going on a motorcycle with his mother Monira Akter. At that time Monira Akter was injured. Since then Monira has been a bit mentally unbalanced.

On the other hand, visiting Ulipurpara in Sherpur town at noon, everyone can see the house of Himel. People of surrounding area gather his house spreading the death news fastly,Instantly relatives as well as classmates, friends and people of the neighborhood are coming to the house. Himel’s aunt Sharmin Akhter said, “We got the news around 10 pm on Tuesday. After that his uncle left for Rajshahi. He was very humble and polite.
