Two buses have been provided for the students of Pabna Edward College as a gift from the president Md. Sahabuddin.

A colorful programme was organisedon this occasion on Wednesday.

The president’s son central Awami League leader also cultural personality Md. Arshad Adnan Roni handed over two buses to the college authorities as the chief gust.

College principal professor Dr. Md. Mahabub Sarfrazpresided over the bus handover ceremony at Shahid Abdus Sattar auditorium.

Former president of Pabna press club, eminent educationist profesorShibojit Nag, Pabna diabetic association president hero freedom fighter Lion Baby Islam, Pabna zilla parishad chairman hero freedom fighter AS M Abdur Rahim Pakon, Pabna press club president ABM Fazlur Rahman, hero freedom fighter Habibur Rahman were special guests on the occasion.

Apart from this, college vice-principal professor Md. Abdul Awal, teachers’ council secretary Mahabub Hasan, along with teachers and students of all departments were present at this time.

After the welcome speech, the key of the buseswas handed over by the invited guests.

On the occasion, the college principal thanked the President for giving this gift. The two buses by cutting the ribbon with all the teachers and guestsin ceremonially inaugurated.

It is noted that president Md. Sahabuddin was a student of this college during the pre-independence period. In that light, he gave these two buses as a gift for the transportation of the students in response to the demands of the teachers and students.
