There has been a horrific robbery at a gold shop in Samir Uddin Market in Greater New Market under sadar upazila in Bogura.

This incident happened at any time yesterday Friday night. The miscreants broke the lock of the shop and stole hundreds of bars of gold, the estimated market value of which is around Tk 1.5 crore.

It has been reported that Al Tawfiq Jewelers in Samir Uddin Market of Greater New Market of Bogura closed the shop as usual after finishing the whole day’s trading last Thursday.

On Saturday (April 20) at around 10:30 am, the manager of the jeweler Nurul Islam Talukdar came to open the shop and saw the lower part of the shirt of the shop.

Open Later he called the owner and told the incident. The owner came and saw the theft. On receiving the information, the police visited the spot.
