Eying on the newspaper, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has extended humanitarian hands to a rickshaw puller couple in Bogura on Monday afternoon.
The couple are identified as rickshaw puller Ferdous Mondal and his better half Shimanur Begum af Bagbari village under Gabtoli upazila of Bogura district.
Ferdous married her when she was an SSC examinee and after marriage, he vowed to continue her study and by pulling rickshaw, he educated her up to M.A through hardship and after passing the exam, he started searching job for his wife while he had been pulling rickshaw in Bogura town.
The news of their struggle was published in the newspaper and later the Prime Minister was informed regarding the matter and ordered the officials of look into the matter and later Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura Md. Saiful Islam undertook immediate action and appointed her by giving a job of Assistant Teacher of the primary section of Collectorate School and College, Bogura.
District administration also donated them money for repaying loan for rickshaw, tin for their house repairment and laptop for working in the outsourcing activities.
Md. Al-Mamun Sardar, Headmaster of Bogura Collectorate School and College said that they felt proud to feel and to be the part of the humanitarian job initiated by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
Mahamudul Alam Nayan, President of Bogura Press Club said that huge number of people of different communities appreciated the step of the district administration for the distressed couple.
Md. Saiful Islam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura said that on the direction of the honourable Prime Minister, the job and donation money, laptop were given to the couple so that they can be self-reliant in future and the present government has been giving importance on the improvement of life standard of the root-level people.
