Police attacked victim Foysal Haque, a student of fourth year under history department of Bogura Govt. Azizul Haque College is going to lose his eye-sight of right eye due to the insufficient money and lack of proper treatment.
His father root-level farmer Muhammad Enamul Haque is a parent of two sons and one daughter and also dreamt of the success story of his elder Foysal after passing honours examination this year as Foysal appeared fourth year honours final exam in the last part of June this year.
He also dreamt of getting financial support from his son to shoulder the burden of the responsibilities of the family but what is lotted cannot be blotted.
Felling his parents in the utter and an ocean of despair, now going to lose his eye-sight of right eye and staying with his family members as burden himself at Manikpur village under Kamdia union area in Gobindogonj upazila in Gaibandha district for more than a month.
His only sister Rima Khatun, a student of Alim class in a madrasha and younger brother Md. Hossain, a six-grader of a local high school wished to see and get better opportunities for study from his brother but became vain as their elder brother is going to lose his right eye-sight.
Following the killing of Abu Sayeed by police, a student of Begum Rokeya Univesity in Rangpur on July 16 last month, he got influenced and joined in Anti-discrimination Student Movement at Shatmatha in Bogura on July 18 and at a stage, police shot by robber bullet which hit his eyes.
Later immediately he was admitted at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital (SZMCH) in Bogura and on the suggestion of the SZMCH doctors, he was shifted to Islamia Eye Hospital in the capital on that day and an operation was conducted on July 19 in the same hospital but started losing his eye-sight.
His father already spent at Tk. 80 thousand so far and he will have to take his son to check up his eye condition in the capital on September 01 next but due to his financial constraints, he fell in utter despair.
The Principal of Govt. Azizul Haque College, Bogura, Professor Khondokar Kamal Hasan, the head of the department of history Prof. Shawkat Alam Mir and the acting Secretary of Teachers’ Parishad of the college Prof. Dr. Touhidul Alam Chowdhury and others paid a visit to the attacked victim student’s house and consoled his sudden condition and helped financially for his treatment as well.
His father root-level farmer Muhammad Enamul Haque sought prayer for his son so that he can see the beautiful world again.
