Chairman of Kurigram Zila Parishad Alhaj Mohammad Jafar Ali (former MP) laid the foundation stoneof new two storied building adjacent of old building of Kurigram Press Club at noon on Tuesday(September 19).

A meeting was also held in this regard in the Sayed Samsul Alam conference room in Kurigam Press club where chairman of Kurigram Zila Parishad Alhaj Mohammad Jafar Ali (former MP) was present as the chief guest while president of the press club Raju Mostafis was in the chair. Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Saidul Arif, Superintendent of Police Al Asad Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam were addressed as the special guest.

Secretary of Kurigram Shipolkala Academy eminent singer Rasheduzzaman Babu,former vice principal of Mazida college  Babu Uday Sankor,senior reporter Shofi,khan, Shamol Bhoumik, editor of local daily Kurigram Khabor Sanalal Bakshi,Mayor of Kurigram municipality Kaziul Islam and Sadar UNO Rashedul Islam spoke among other.

The activities of the two storied building has been started funded by KurigramZilaParishad. The speakers emphasized to develop the press club building and its environment as the reporters of these region publish development and good news.

Most of the reporters including GolamRabbani were present there.
