A former cricketer on a motorcycle has been killed in a truck collision in Bogura.

The deceased was identified as Mahbubar Rahman Liton (32) son of Nurul Amin of Latifpur Colony under Shajahanpur upazila in the district.

The accident took place on Bogura-Natore highway in Boyradighi area of ​​Shajahanpur upazila of the district on Tuesday night.

The deceased Mahbubar Rahman Liton used to play in Bogura District League. Besides, there were wicket keepers and batsmen in the under 13, 15 and 16 age groups.

The victim’s elder brother Faisal said Liton was returning to town on a motorcycle after work on Tuesday night. On the way, a truck hit and fled when it reached Boyradighi area of ​​Shajahanpur upazila.

Locals rescued Liton and admitted him to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZMC) Hospital. He later died there.

SI of Chilimpur Medical Police Outpost Shamim Hossain confirmed the information. He said relatives took the body home.
