A farmer named Fizar(36) was killed by lightning on Saturday (30-July) afternoon at Ghordour village of Khamarkandi union under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
The deceased Fizar Hesen is the son of Azhar Ali of Nalbaria village of Khanpur Union of the upazila.
It is known that Fizar married the daughter of the Late Bacheh Ali of Ghordaur village of Khamarkandi Union and would live as a son-in-law. He used to do agricultural work there. On Saturday, July 30, around 4:00 p.m., when he saw the rain coming and needed water to prepare the paddy field, he went to cut a lane to hold the water.
At that time, lightning killed in the ground of poddy.Later, other farmers saw and informed his family and they came and recovered the body.
This incident cast a shadow of mourning & painful on the area. In this regard, Abdul Momin Mohsin, chairman of Khamarkandi Union, said,”I visited the place after receiving the sad news that he was killed by lightning on the spot.
