Recently retired professor of the department of Botany of Govt. Azizul Haque College(AHC) of Bogura Prof. AKM Shafiqur Rahman was given farewell by the former students of the same department at Momo Inn Convention Centre in Bogura on Friday noon.

The former head of the department, Professor AKM Salek Uddin presided over the day-long programme while former head of the department and Principal of Govt. Azizul Haque College and Controller of the Examinations of Pundra University of Science and Technology Professor Ansar Ali Talukdar, former head of the department and Principal of Govt. Mujibur Rahman Mohila College Professor Nasima Akhtar, Former professor Abdur Rahman, the better half of the retired professor Rokeya Begum Dina and existing professors of the department were present.

Very outset of the farewell programme, the invited professors, retired professor and the invited guests were greeted with the wreaths of flowers. The student of session 1994-95 and one of main organisers Rafiqul Islam delivered the inaugural speech.

The students of session 1994-95 led the farewell arrangement programnme with other sessions and out of them, main organisers were Joint-Director of TMSS Alamgir Hossain, Senior Assistant Director of TMSS Rafiqul Islam, Senior Executive of Beximco Wahid Rimon, Tarazul Islam, Tazin Roksana Chowdhury, Shamsunnahar Naznin Nahar, Nahid Hossain, Rafia Aktar Mitu, Shamima aktar Munni, Arif Ahmed Akash and others played vital role in the arrangement process.

The day-long programme comprises conducting discussion, recalling memories, disclosing identities, arranging cultural programme, holding raffles draws etc.
