A group of brilliant students of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) nabbed a fake  police officer. He is identified as Imdadul Haque who has gang-washed in Rajshahi metropolis.

Md Imdadul Haque is the son of Ibrahim Sardar of Chakrishnapur village of Durgapur police station in Rajshahi. On Monday (June 5) around 1:00 p.m., the incident took place at Kajla intersection under Motihar police station in the city.

Local Md Nazmul Haque Palash said that on Monday night, a group of students were gang-washing a passenger of a passenger bus called Hanif Enterprise from Dhaka to Rajshahi at Kajla intersection. At that time many people gathered there. At one point, a police pick-up van from Motihar police station reached the spot. Meanwhile, SI Subhash calms down the students and rescues fake police officer Imdad from their grip.

According to the sources of Motihar police station, Imdad left for Rajshahi in the Rajshahi-bound Hanif Enterprise passenger bus from Dhaka. On the way, Imdad had a problem with a student of Ruet on an unknown matter in the bus. At one point, Imdad threatened the student. The Ruet student told his classmates and friends.

Before the bus reaches Kajla, 15-20 students gather there. At one point, when the bus reached Kajla junction, the students started mobbing Imdad as soon as he got off the bus. Later SI Subhash while patrolling from the 999 call came to know about the matter and rushed to the spot and rescued him from the clutches of the students and took him to the police station. There, Imdad said, he returned to Rajshahi with bail from the High Court and showed the bail documents. Later he was taken to RMC Hospital and released to the custody of his relatives.

It is to be noted that last (May 24) at 4 pm, a minor (Hafez) named Rahi (16) was standing next to the flyover near Ruet of Motihar police station. At that time, Imdadul Haque came there on a motorcycle, stopped Rahi, a school student, and identified himself as a police officer, snatched the wallet, cash and mobile phone and ran away.
