Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST)vice-chancellor professor Dr. HafizaKhatun expressed this conviction in an exchange meeting with the newly elected leaders of Pabna press club on Sunday.

FaruqueHossain Chowdhury, deputy director of the university’s public relations and publication department, conducted the meeting.

Vice-Chancellor prof Dr. HafizaKhatun said with confidence, ‘Through dreams, efforts and hundred efforts, we are working towards the goal of making PUST the first in terms of education, increasing the quality of education, increasing research laboratories, increasing students’ education and educational facilities and addressing the housing crisis for teachers.

In keeping with the times, contemporaryreiterated the opening of 13 more departments at the PUST.

Pointing out that the university has already returned to life, the VC said, “Automation is in progress. The process of land acquisition has been initiated for the expansion of the campus. Measures are being taken to resolve the session congestion. The spirit of liberation war is being reminded to the students. Meetings-seminars are being conducted where big scholars of the country are present.”

Constructive criticism from journalists will enrich me. Journalists have a lot of responsibility to take the university forward, added the VC.

At the beginning of the programme, floral greetings were given to the leaders of the newly elected press committee and congratulation for winning the election.

Treasurer prof Dr. KM Salah Uddin said, the importance of journalist brothers is immense for branding the university.
