Drugs bring terrible consequences to the family, society and the state by destroying future generations. Therefore, we must change the mindset of those concerned and work sincerely to eradicate drugs. Drugs must be controlled by any means said Superintendent of Police Md Zedan Al Musa PPM.  SP also said Police department is working against drug round the clock.

Just when it has become difficult to protect the youth from the drug menace across the country, in the last 3 months, a total of 382 drug dealers have been arrested in separate operations by the district police and the Narcotics Control Department in different places in Bogura in the last 3 months with huge quantities of Yaba, heroin, phencidyl ganja, tapentadol, injections, desimod and cholaimod.

Drugs worth Tk 7478025 have been recovered from them in the district police operation. A total of 213 cases have been filed in this regard. On the other hand, the Narcotics Control Department has arrested 100 people in September-October and filed 93 cases.

The regulatory agency, the Narcotics Control Department, is conducting operations in the district every day. In addition to confiscating drugs, cases and arrests are being made in these operations. The organization has been working on various plans for more than three decades. There are various awareness activities.

Although drug dealing is supposed to be reduced as a result of these campaigns and various activities of the department throughout the year, the number of cases, accused and drug seizures is increasing day by day. A branch of the Narcotics Control Department has said that in the next academic year, the textbooks for ninth and tenth grade will contain writings on the dangers of drugs and awareness.

Deputy Director of the Narcotics Control Department Md Rajiur Rahman said that a family-centered movement should be developed against drugs. Awareness should be created against family-based drugs. If we can create awareness about the ill effects of drugs in schools and colleges, drug use in the country will be reduced by 90 percent.
