Md Zakir Hossain, 54, Director, Chief (Program Sector) and Life Member of TMSS, died of a heart attack at TMSS Medical College and Rafatullah Community Hospital (Inna Lillahi ….. Rajyun).

He is son of late Abdul Jalil Sardar of Thengamara village in Sadar upazila of the district. At the time of his death, he left behind a son Dr. Hasibul Hasan Rajan, wife, mother, brothers and sisters, relatives and many admirers.

His death has cast a shadow of mourning over the TMSS family and the area. Namaz-e-Janaza was held at TMSS Medical College and Rafatullah Community Hospital premises in Thengamara after Johar on Monday.

Thousands of people participated in the janaza. At the janaza, his family said he had been asked to inform the executive director of TMSS if he had any demands. If he has committed any crime, he is asked to forgive it. After Janaza, he was buried in the family graveyard.

On his death, the founding executive director of the TMSS family, Professor Hosne Ara Begum, Prof. Alhaj Ansar Ali Talukder, Controller of Examinations, Pundra University of Science and Technology; TM Ali Haider, Managing Director, BCL Group; Hossain expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

President of Dupchanchia press club Golam Faruk, secretary Emdadul Haque,  former mayor and vice-president of press club Belal Hossain, former President AKM Jahangir Alam, former General Secretary KM Belal Hossain, Joint General Secretary Saju Mandal, Firoz Hossain, Literary Secretary Matiur Rahman Dewan Palash, Treasurer Ramendranath Poddar, Office Secretary ATM Samad Kobbat, Executive Member Asim Kumar Das, Dulal Basak and Meshkatur Rahman expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the forgiveness of their departed souls.
