The dead body of a disabled women was recovered from the road side by Roumarithana police in the morning on Saturday (July 15).

The deceased was identified as Ojima daughter of late Rajab Ali of village Soulmari under Char Soulmari union of Roumariupazila in Kurigram.

Locals said the villagers in the morning found the body was lying in a crop field near the road at Soulmari village and informed the matter to Roumarithana police.

Roumari police however rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Locals suspected that she may be killed by miscreants after rape.

Police sources said she might have been killed at dead of night and the body was kept on road side, police suspected. However the causes of killing would be known after post mortem examination.

Officer-in-charge of Roumari police station Rup Kumar Sarkar told that the body was recovered. Details will be known after post mortem examination.
