Sheikh Md Moniruzzaman, Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Prime Minister’s Office visited the TMSS Foundation office in Bogura on Wednesday evening and attended the ongoing Victory Fair as the chief guest and enjoyed the cultural program and distributed blankets.
We cannot forget our original historical heritage. We cannot forget the hero of our victory. The country has become independent, we are citizens of an independent country. Bangladesh is now a middle income country, in the future this country will enter the ranks of developed countries.
Talking about the contribution of TMSS, he said, this organization has set many examples in the development of Bogura and the country. This organization is guiding millions of poor and suffering people. Working to improve their fortunes. The work and volunteering initiatives of this organization need to be managed in other organizations.
The chief guest also said that the country is moving forward with the efforts of both the government and NGOs. We act as representatives of the government. NGOs help the government by implementing various functions. Regarding VAT and taxes, he said, as non-profit organizations, NGOs should not have VAT tax.
However, if there is any inconsistency it can be reviewed. TMSS Founder Executive Director Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum said in her speech that TMSS works at the grassroots level and has little capacity in terms of linkages, so it is negligible in receiving foreign grants. Public donations, service activities with the help of donations, orphanages, old age homes, autism schools, hospitals conduct various service activities for free. He said that TMSS has been working for the development of people since birth and will continue to do so in the future.
Educational institutions belonging to TMSS Religious Complex and Autism children participated in the cultural program. Also, on the stage of the fair, every day one brave freedom fighter presented his bravery of the war days.
Dr. This cultural program is being organized by Enamul Haque Art and Cultural Academy. Dr. also spoke at the event. Advocate Maleka Parveen is the Chairperson of the Management Committee of Enamul Haque Eight and Cultural Academy.
