PUST Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Hafiza Khatun presided over the memorial discussion meeting on Friday and said that “We need to discuss the liberation war more and more. We have to follow the victorious and struggling people. We have to work for the country inspired by the struggling people.
Pro Vice-Chancellor of the PUST, SM Mostafa Kamal was the special guest at the programme.

According to a press release issued by the public relations department of the university, the chief guest at the memorial service, Farida Akhter, a heroic woman freedom fighter, said that women of the country also took part in the war that day. But many women did not get their recognition.
She also said it was not possible to evaluate them for various reasons including accurate information.
She said adding that our new generation has to dedicate itself to the task of building the country by realizing the liberation war in its heart.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. SM Mostafa Kamal Khan said that the war of liberation was due to division and inequality. Forgetting all these differences, we have to work for the formation of the country and the nation.
Deans of various faculties, departmental chairmen, teachers-students, officers and staff were present on the occasion.
