One child was drowned at Kshamot Pran Krishna village under Phulbari uapazila in Kurigram district at noon on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Miraj 2 son of Harun Miah of the village.

Locals and eyewitnesses said the child was playing near a pond adjacent of his house at noon on Saturday without the concerned of all and he was missing. Later the member of his house found that the dead body was floating on water. His relatives recovered the body.

Chairman of Phulbari Sadar union council Harun-or Rashid ensured the incident.
