International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is observed on 30 July 2023 worldwide. On the occasion of the day, Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) celebrated the day through various programs.

BGB members from Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) organized by District Administration and Narcotics Control Directorate, Chapainawabganj participated actively.

Also, in order to make the public aware about the dangers of drugs, the harmful effects of drugs are highlighted to the public through the display of anti-drug posters, banners, festoons and leaflets in the responsible areas of the battalions and subordinate BOPs.

Captain of Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) Lt. Col. Md. Nahid Hossain said in a circular that Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) BGB is always trying to implement zero tolerance policy against drugs in the border area and this activity will continue.
