The members of the ladies club paid tribute to the memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and martyred freedom fighters in the Great Liberation War on the Great Victory Day in Chapainawabganj.
On Saturday (December 16) morning Chapainawabganj Ladies Club and District Women’s Sports Association President (wife of District Administrator AKM Galiv Khan) Mahfuza Sultana led by the members of the club held a victory banner and garlanded the memorial plaque with the names of martyred freedom fighters in front of the DC office in the form of a procession. Assigned After that, tributes were paid by placing wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu at Muktamanch located in front of Nawabganj Government College.
Later in the afternoon discussion meeting, sports and prize distribution were held at Ladies Club.
Ladies Club president Mahfuza Sultana was the chief guest on the occasion and Nazifa Ali Promi, senior president of District Women’s Sports Association was the special guest.
Local Government Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) Devendra Nath Uraon’s wife Prabhati Mahato, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Agriculture Ahmed Mahbub-ul Islam’s wife Reshma Akhtar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Anisur Rahman ‘s wife Sohela Ferdous, Sadar Upazila UNO Tashmina Khatun, NDC wife Tanzila Afrin, Assistant Commissioner Zubair Jahangir’s wife Sanjida Tahsin, Assistant Commissioner Mir Al Mansoor Shoaib’s wife Umme Habiba, Sadar Upazila Asst. Commissioner (Land) Naima Khan, Assistant Commissioner Md Aminul Islam’s wife Zakia Khatun, club member Faruka Begum, member Advocate Anjuman Ara were present among others.
