One carpenter was electrocuted at Natunhaat bazar under Char Bhurungamari union of Bhurungamariupazila at around 1.30 pm on Monday (July 31).

The deceased was identified as Abdus Salam son of Jahir Uddin of village Velykuri under the union.

Local sources said the carpenter has gone to NatunHaat bazar to set Corrugated Iron (C.I) of a shop at noon on Monday.When he was climbing to the top of the shop he was touch with a live electric wire and he fell down on the ground.

Locals recovered him and was immediately taken to Bhurungamariupazila health complex in a critical condition where the attending doctor Sayem declared him dead.

Officer-in-charge of Bhurungamari police station Ruhul Amin ensured the incident and said polices have been sent to hospital.
