A bus and a motorcycle were burnt as the motorcycle lost control and went under the bus, bursting the tank and catching fire. However, no one was casualty.
The accident took place in front of BhadurBattala oil pump on Baggha-Ishwardi regional highway on at around 3.30 pm on Monday.In this incident, the bus named Super Soni and the motorcycle were completely burnt.
Locals said that the bus was going to Ishwardi from Bagha in Rajshahi with passengers. On the way, in front of BhadurBottala oil pump, a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction lost control and went under the bus.Meanwhile, the tank of the motorcycle burst and caught fire.
From there, the entire the bus caught fire. Immediately after the accident, passengers, driver-helpers quickly got off the bus without any casualty. The motorcyclist fled immediately after the incident.
Apu Kumar Mandal, Warehouse Inspector of Ishwardi Fire Service Unit, confirmed this matter and said that after hearing the incident of fire in the bus, they rushed to the spot and put the fire under control. No casualty has been reported so far. It is initially believed that the motorcycle’s tank burst and caught fire.
Ishwardi Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam admitted the truth and said that the bus and the motorcycle were burnt but no one was dead or injured. The motorcyclist was also not found.
When asked whether it was a sabotage or not, the OC said it was not a sabotage incident. I think it was an accident.
