A sub-branch of International Finance Investment and Commerce (IFIC) bank of Bogura has been theft at Tk. 29.40 lakh by breaking locker at Matidali area in Bogura on early Thursday.

Saihan Waliullah, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of sadar police station, Bogura, said that CID team along with Bogura district police has been investigating the matter and a case will be filed in the police station soon.

The amount of money at Tk. 29.40 lakh was kept in the locker and a gang of thieves picked up the money by breaking the locker, added the OC.

Snigdha Aktar, Addl. SP of Bogura police said that the sub-branch of IFIC bank was not under the vigilance of the guards and the CC camera was inactive and they have been investigating the theft case and hopefully, they can arrest the criminals soon.
